As we step into the month of February, I wanted to share some exciting updates and important information with you.
Black History Month Celebration:
February marks Black History Month, and we have planned various activities to celebrate the rich history and contributions of African Americans along with a student assembly!
School Spirit Week:
Get ready for a week full of fun and creativity! Our school spirit week is set for February 10 - 14, with each day featuring a different theme. Let’s showcase our P.S. 212 pride together.
Centennial Celebration
PS 212 is celebrating 100 Years of Excellence on February 12, 2025! (2-12 day)
We look forward to reflecting on the growth and success of our school and celebrating a bright future.
100th Days of Learning
The 100th Day of school is on February 25, 2025. We plan to celebrate it on Valentine’s Day to culminate our exciting spirit week activities and to tie in our 100th Anniversary celebrations.
School’s Closed: Mid-Winter Break February 17 – 21. Return to school February 24.

Attendance Matters
Please be sure your children are here daily and they take advantage of our School Foods breakfast program. Doors open at 7:30 am.
Afterschool Programming
If you wish your child to attend afterschool NIA program please contact director Alexa at nia.ps212K@niabklyn.org

Devices – Remote learning if school buildings are closed
In the event that there is a school building closure, your child must be ready for online learning in their google classroom. Please be sure that you are aware of your child’s log in information and that you meet your child’s teacher at 8:00 am in the google classroom. If you need a device, please complete this survey for each child or contact our parent coordinator Ilia Liff Iiff@schools.nyc.gov or call 347-563-4628 for assistance.

Hot breakfast will be served 7:30-8:00 a.m.
We will no longer have a grab-and-go breakfast in the classroom program. Students should arrive early to enjoy a hot breakfast in the cafeteria.
Menus
Setting up an account will allow you to view your child’s grades, test scores, and attendance, as well as get emergency notifications from the DOE.
You can create a basic account online from any computer, phone, or tablet.
